An Update on Tenshin Sensei

About one hour ago, I received a call with new information. The date of his discharge is still undecided. While ongoing treatment is likely necessary for his pulmonary edema, arrhythmia, and diabetes, it seems he is stable enough to continue recovery at home.

However, the burn on his foot is healing slowly, and because of this, there is still no clear timeline for his discharge.

He mentioned being concerned about the cost of hospitalization, though he is feeling well enough to walk around inside the hospital. His voice was the clearest and most energetic it has been so far.

He expressed frustration that, aside from a visit from his family immediately after his hospitalization, no one has come since, and they have barely spoken to him even by phone.

Ideally, I would visit him myself, but ever since the pandemic, hospital visits from non-family members have been prohibited, so I am unable to do so.

For now, I will contact his family again and make sure we properly discuss plans for his recovery after discharge.
