Regarding other weapons

I am curious about the kusarigama. As a blacksmith i have done some initial comparisons on blade dimensions, handle and chain length… I have noted the chain has been attached to both the back of the blade / or the butt of the handle. Is there a preferred attachment point in tenshinryu?

Also, I know you practice with shuriken… I am wondering if there is a preferred design for shuriken. Does the school ever carry tanto? Are there instances where you practice with ringed knives…. the name is escaping me, at present.

I have been a blacksmith for nearly 40 years. It occurs to me that I can fashion some of these tools, myself.
