When I called about a week ago, his voice sounded lively and well, but both during the previous call and this one, his responses have become noticeably weaker and unclear.
Currently, in addition to pulmonary edema, arrhythmia, and diabetes, he is also undergoing treatment for his leg.
Back in January of this year, he suffered a low-temperature burn from a hot water bottle, and due to the effects of the pulmonary edema, fluid has accumulated in his leg, which seems to have worsened its condition quite a bit.
It’s possible that the painkillers may be causing some mild delirium as well.
I repeatedly asked about the prospects for his discharge, but he avoided the question, so it seems nothing is certain yet.
He mentioned several times that the dietary restrictions are very strict and extremely difficult for him.
